Very true. I find Edwin Newman much more entertaining. I haven't checked out "Eats, Shoots & Leaves" yet, but I might soon.
You see a lot of that mangled ostentation in legal documents. When you've had as many restraining orders filed against you as I have you grow tired of that style of writing.
